Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. quick oats
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring or butter
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar well.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing thoroughly after each.
    Add bananas, flour, soda and salt. Stir in nuts and oats.
    Add flavoring.
    Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
