Gramma'S Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. currants or dark, seedless raisins
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients into a large bowl.
    Stir in currants or raisins.
    Combine eggs, buttermilk and shortening. Then add to dry ingredients.
    Turn batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until loaf tests done, about 1 hour.
    Remove from pan immediately.
    Keep refrigerated.
    Is good toasted with butter.
