Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. regular oats, uncooked
1 c. crisp rice cereal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and oil; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed.
Add egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.
Drop dough by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
Yields 10 dozen.
