Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. corn meal (self-rising)
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    water as needed
    1 small onion
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
Preparation
    Mix flour, cornmeal and buttermilk together.
    Chip up onion; add to mixture.
    Add water to mixture to make batter thin enough. Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Place a little oil in each muffin hole. Place in oven until hot.
    Dip a large spoon of mixture into each hole.
    Bake until brown.
    Makes about 30 minutes.
