Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. cooked carrots, mashed and cooled
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. raisins
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add vanilla, egg, carrots and the remaining ingredients, adding the raisins last. Drop on a cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 until lightly browned.
