Sugary Crinkle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 large egg
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a bowl, cream together butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla and egg until fluffy.
    In separate bowl, sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
    Mix to moderately stiff dough. Using about a tablespoon of dough for each cookie, roll dough into small balls.
    Dip in granulated sugar.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
    Do not flatten!
