Cherry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and eggs until fluffy.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Add buttermilk and beat until blended.
    Stir in cherries, pecans and vanilla.
    Pour into greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool.
