Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    2 3/4 c. warm water
    6 1/2 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Add half of the flour (3 1/4 cups), sugar, salt and shortening.
    Blend at low speed with mixer, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Mix in remaining flour by hand. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 45 minutes).
    Stir batter, beating hard about 30 seconds.
    Spread in 2 greased loaf pans. Let rise about 20 minutes or until doubled.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
