Crispy Italian Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. olive oil or 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
1 c. Italian-style bread crumbs
1 loaf (16 oz.) Italian bread
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Cut bread in half lengthwise.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine olive oil or butter or margarine and bread crumbs.
Spread cut surfaces of bread with crumb mixture.
Switch oven to broil.
Broil bread 3 inches from heat source for one minute or until surface is bubbly and lightly browned.
Slice and serve immediately.
Makes 16 (2-inch) slices.
