Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
4 drops anise
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Mix well and let dough cool in refrigerator.
Roll out 1/8-inch thick and cut with floured cookie cutters.
Bake on cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Frost with buttercream frosting and decorate.
