Ingredients

6 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
5 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
5 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. shelled walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preparation

Mix eggs, sugar, butter, salt and vanilla in a large bowl for about five minutes with an electric beater.
Add baking powder and flour and beat until evenly mixed (about one minute).
Put the mixture and the walnuts on a floured pastry board and knead lightly to mix (walnuts should be left in large pieces).
