Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. molasses
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a pan.
    Dissolve sugar in melted shortening.
    Dissolve 1 teaspoon soda in molasses.
    Take pan off stove and add molasses mixture, mixing well.
    Put 1 teaspoon baking soda in boiling water and add it to ingredients.
    Mix well. Gradually stir in approximately 4 cups of flour.
    Chill for at least an hour.
    Roll and cut out cookies.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
