Speculaasjes(Dutch Christmas Cookies; Makes 6 Dozen Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. dairy sour cream
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; blend in sour cream.
    Mix and sift dry ingredients (do not use electric beater, too stiff).
    Divide dough into 4 parts.
    Wrap in foil.
    Chill several hours.
    Work with 1 portion at a time.
    Roll out thin.
    Cut into fancy shapes. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Roll scrapes in a ball and chill before using.
