Amish Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream sugars, butter or margarine and oil until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs; mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
    Make into balls and press down with glass that has been dipped in sugar.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, until they start to brown around edges.
