Spicy Peach Or Apricot Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. softened butter or margarine
    1 (16 oz.) can (2 c.) sliced peaches or apricot halves, drained (reserve syrup)
    1/2 c. reserved syrup
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins (if desired)
Preparation
    Generously grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch or an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
