Acorn Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 pkg. caramels
    1 c. pecans, finely chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together.
    Stir in flour and baking powder.
    Shape into walnut-size balls.
    Pinch to a point on one end to resemble an acorn.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake 18 minutes.
    Cool.
    Melt caramels in double-boiler or microwave.
    Dip top of \"acorn\" cookies into melted caramel and then into chopped pecans.
    Place on wax paper to cool.
