Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 heaping Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg, beaten
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine dates, sugar, salt, butter and water in saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes; cool.
Add egg.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add to date mixture.
Stir to moisten.
