Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped pecans
8 oz. chopped dates
1 tsp. lemon rind
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. coconut
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. orange rind
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Beat egg with fork.
Add eggs, dry ingredients, oatmeal, then add fruit and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
Makes 8 to 10 dozen.
