Yellow Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, grated
Preparation
    Cook squash in boiling water
    10 to 15 minutes or until tender; drain and mash. Combine egg and 1 cup mashed squash. Stir in dry ingredients. Add onion; mix well. Drop by tablespoon into shallow, hot oil in skillet. Cook until browned on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
