Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 c. baking molasses
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.
    Then add sour milk or buttermilk.
    Then add flour mixture.
    Mix well.
    Drop by teaspoonful onto prepared cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
