Brown Sugar Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 large eggs
    1 c. coarsely broken walnut meats
    1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Gently beat in dry ingredients just until smooth.
    Do not overbeat.
    Fold in walnuts.
    Turn into a well-greased, lightly floured 2-quart swirl shaped small-tune baking pan.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Loosen sides of cake from pan and turn out on wire rack to cool.
    Store in a tightly covered container.
