New England Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 well beaten egg
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Stir in orange juice, orange peel, shortening and egg.
Mix until well blended.
Stir in cranberries and nuts.
Turn into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake for 55 minutes.
Cool on rack 15 minutes and remove from oven.
