Ingredients

2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream together butter with sugar.
Add unbeaten egg yolk.
Add flour and salt.
Spread dough into 9 x 13-inch greased glass pan. Beat egg white until stiff and spread over dough.
Sprinkle nuts on top.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cut while still warm.
