Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. (2 medium) mashed bananas
    1/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sift the flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter.
    Gradually add the sugar, creaming well.
    Add eggs and bananas; blend thoroughly.
    Combine milk and lemon juice.
    Add dry ingredients to banana mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Blend well after each addition.
    Stir in nuts.
    Grease bottom of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan. Pour in the batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes until bread springs back when lightly touched in center.
    Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack.
