Banana Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 firm bananas (cooking bananas called saba)*
fritter batter
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. milk
1 egg, beaten
oil (for frying)
extra flour (as needed)
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add milk and water and then the egg to the dry ingredients and mix until batter is smooth. Peel bananas and slice lengthwise. Roll in flour, then dip in fritter batter, completely coating each piece. Fry in hot fat, turning fritters to brown evenly. Drain and serve hot.
