Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1/2 c. dates, chopped
1/2 c. chopped apple
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. liquid sweetener
Preparation

Boil raisins, dates and apples in water for 3 minutes.
Add shortening to melt.
Cool.
Add rest of ingredients with nuts last; mix well.
Refrigerate until chilled.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Refrigerate cookies.
