Ingredients

1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. flour
1 egg
36 mini peanut butter cups
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream peanut butter, shortening, sugar and brown sugar.
Add vanilla and egg and mix well.
Add dry ingredients and mix well. Roll into balls and place in tassie pans (mini muffin pans).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and press peanut butter cup in the center of each cookie.
Let cool completely. Remove from pan.
These cookies are a family favorite that travels well.
Yields 3 dozen.
