Cherry-Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped maraschino cherries
Preparation

Mix thoroughly first 3 ingredients.
Set aside.
In large mixer bowl beat together sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add flour mixture and 1 cup milk alternately to beaten mixture; beat until blended.
Fold in chopped pecans and chopped cherries.
Turn batter into lightly greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven 55 to 60 minutes.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool.
