"Shortbread"(Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
Preparation
    Beat butter, powdered sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add flour until well blended.
    Divide dough in 1/2. Shape each into ball.
    Flatten to 1-inch rounds between 2 pieces of plastic wrap.
    Refrigerate until firm.
