Apricot Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. pecans
    1 c. dried diced apricots
Preparation
    Cream 1 cup sugar, shortening and egg.
    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and orange juice.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Stir apricots and nuts into batter.
    Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour at 325\u00b0 for glass pan or at 350\u00b0 for metal pan.
