Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. seeded raisins
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. molasses
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water on raisins.
    Let cool.
    Cream sugar with shortening.
    Add egg, vanilla and molasses.
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Beat into creamed mixture.
    Grease 4 (No. 2) tin cans.
    Fill each can half full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
