Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 to 4 bananas (about 2 c.), diced
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in bananas and nuts, then flour, baking soda and salt. Spread in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 55 minutes. Remove from pan.
    Cool thoroughly before slicing.
