Ingredients

1 1/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. orange rind
2 eggs
1/2 c. evaporated milk
6 c. cornflakes
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. white raisins
grated coconut (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add rind and eggs, then milk and flour alternately.
Then add cornflakes, raisins and nuts (grated coconut, optional).
Drop by teaspoon about 2 inches apart on well-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
