Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. flour
    6 plain Hershey bars (1.5 oz. each)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a heavy saucepan, combine peanut butter and butter and warm over low heat, stirring until well blended.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in sugar and eggs, beating by hand until mixed.
    Mix baking powder, salt and flour and add to the dough.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pat dough onto a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Place Hershey bars over the hot, baked pastry.
    Let melt and spread evenly.
    Cool before cutting into squares.
    Store airtight.
    Makes 36.
