White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. warm water
    11 c. flour (approximately)
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water for 5 minutes in mixer. Add sugar, shortening, salt and 3 1/2 cups warm water.
    Mix.
    Add yeast mixture.
    Add 2 cups flour and beat in mixer until smooth. With a spoon, add 8 or 9 more cups of flour.
    Knead until smooth and let rise until double in size.
    Knead down; let rise again. Make 3 or 4 loaves.
    Let rise again.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
