Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. each: margarine, milk and cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. uncooked oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

In a saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and milk; bring to a boil and stir constantly for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in cocoa, vanilla, oatmeal and nuts, if desired.
Onto waxed paper, drop mixture by teaspoonfuls.
Cookies will get firm as they cool.
These freeze well.
