Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. canned or cooked pumpkin
1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and pumpkin.
Mix well.
Combine dry ingredients, sift and add to pumpkin mixture alternately with water.
Grease two loaf pans and sprinkle with flour.
Bake at 350 degrees until cake tester comes out clean (30 to 45 minutes).
Cool loaf pans for about 30 minutes before removing loaves.
