Lemon Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
peel of 1 lemon
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream together the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs to sugar mixture.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with 1/2 cup of milk.
Mix in nuts and peel of lemon. Bake in a loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or 2 small loaf pans and bake until done (less time).
