Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add mashed bananas, then flour, soda and salt sifted 3 times together.
Add pecans and raisins and mix in well.
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When brown, test with a straw for doneness. Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves.
