Ingredients

1 can or c. coconut
1 egg, beaten
1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 (8 oz.) box dates, cut up
Preparation

Melt margarine; add sugar and vanilla.
Dissolve sugar.
Add dates and beaten egg.
Cook 10 minutes on medium heat.
Cool and add nuts and Rice Krispies.
Roll in small balls, then in coconut. Refrigerate or seal tightly.
Yield: 40 small balls.
