Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream
    together
    butter,
    shortening and sugar.
    (Note: You may
    use
    1/2 cup of butter or 1/2 cup shortening in place of
    1/4 each, if you prefer.) Add egg and beat together.
    Sift flour
    with baking soda, mix together well, adding the vanilla and
    nuts. Divide
    the
    dough into four.
    Roll each into long rectangle tubes, using wax paper.
    Chill overnight in refrigerator.
    Slice thin and bake on greased baking sheets, at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for ten minutes.
