Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 (4 oz.) pkg. German sweet chocolate, melted
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar in a bowl.
Beat in eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
Sift in flour, soda and salt.
Stir until blended.
Add chocolate.
Mix well.
Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.
Let stand, covered, until cool.
