Yeast Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
6 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Sprinkle yeast over warm water in a large bowl. Stir until dissolved. Blend in sugar, shortening, salt and egg; add 1/2 flour. Beat thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Add remaining half flour and beat about 2 minutes, until smooth.
