Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. Dutch process cocoa
3 c. oatmeal
nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients in pan and bring to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute; remove and stir in oatmeal.
Stir until oats are softened; add nuts and vanilla.
Drop by small spoonfuls onto cookie sheet or waxed paper and let stand until firm.
