Helen'S Good Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Sift together flour,
    powder
    and salt, then set aside. Cream Crisco and
    sugar,
    then add lightly beaten eggs.
    Start adding flour mixture,
    then
    1/2
    cup
    milk, nuts, more flour, then the rest of
    the
    milk.
    (You
    stir
    this until blended.) Pour into greased loaf pan
    and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. (Makes 1
    big,
    heavy
    loaf.)
    Best when served with butter.
