Irresistible Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins, soaked in 1/3 c. Bacardi rum
    1 c. butter (room temperature)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs (large)
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Soak raisins in rum for 60 minutes (optional).
    In a large bowl, cream butter.
    Add sugars and cream again until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
    In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, oatmeal, salt and baking soda). Add dry mixture to other bowl and mix well.
    Now add chocolate chips, nuts and raisins.
    Stir from the bottom of the bowl until all the ingredients are well combined.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Drop by teaspoons onto well-buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool on racks.
    Makes 6 dozen.
