Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
approximately 2 1/2 to 3 c. flour
Preparation

Using mixing bowl, stir together butter and sugar.
Stir in egg and milk.
Stir in baking powder and enough flour to make thick dough.
Stir until dough clings together.
On floured surface, using floured rolling pin, roll dough very thin.
Using floured cookie cutter, press out cookies.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until golden brown.
Sprinkle sugar lightly over tops of cookies while still hot.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
