Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugars.
    Blend in egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar.
    Roll in walnut size balls and press with a sugared glass.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes.
