Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. molasses
    4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs and molasses; mix well.
    Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk; begin and end with flour mixture.
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 minutes.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar after you remove from oven.
