Spice Bread-In-A-Jar - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 2/3 c. sugar
2 c. applesauce
2/3 c. water
4 eggs
3 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Spray 7 wide-mouth 1-pint jars with nonstick cooking spray.
Cream shortening and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Stir in applesauce, water and eggs.
Add mixture of flour, soda, baking powder, salt and spices; mix well. Stir in walnuts and raisins.
